MCPD shared an overview of reported calls for service from August 12, 2026, including burglaries, robberies, aggravated assaults, auto thefts and thefts from vehicles across Montgomery County.
In the 1st District, which includes Rockville, Potomac and parts of North Bethesda, police reported a commercial burglary in the 11000 block of Westmore Ave. A business was entered and property was taken.
In the 2nd District, which includes Bethesda, Chevy Chase, Kensington and parts of Potomac and North Bethesda, police reported the theft of a motorcycle from the 5500 block of Randolph Rd. The theft occurred on July 31.
In the 3rd District, which includes Silver Spring, Burtonsville and surrounding areas, police reported an aggravated assault involving a knife in the unit block of Veterans Pl. A suspect allegedly pointed a knife at another person, and one person was arrested. Police also reported four vehicle thefts on Scarlet Sage Ct., in the 3800 block of Gateway Ter., the 3300 block of Teagarden Cir. and the 900 block of Northampton Dr. In addition, suspects reportedly took money from a business in the 900 block of Bonifant St. and pushed an employee. One person was arrested. Airbags were also reported stolen from three vehicles on Crosswood Dr., Leatherwood Ter. and Leatherwood Ct.
In the 4th District, which includes Wheaton, Glenmont, Aspen Hill, Olney and surrounding areas, police reported a commercial burglary in the 15400 block of Georgia Ave., where a business was entered and property was taken. A catalytic converter was also reported stolen from a vehicle in the 12700 block of Layhill Rd.
In the 5th District, which includes Germantown, Clarksburg, Damascus and surrounding areas, police reported a vehicle stolen near Waldorf Dr. and Wisteria Dr. Police also reported an aggravated assault involving a firearm near Father Hurley Blvd. and Waters Landing Dr., where a passenger in another vehicle allegedly displayed a handgun during a road rage incident.
In the 6th District, which includes Gaithersburg and Montgomery Village, police reported a robbery at a business in the 100 block of Olde Towne Ave. According to police, suspects assaulted two employees and took property, leaving both employees injured. A vehicle was also reported stolen from the 20200 block of Darlington Dr.
