The Montgomery County Police Department shared an overview of reported calls for service from Tuesday, August 18. The summary does not reflect all calls for service on the referenced date.
In the 1st District, which includes Rockville and Potomac, property was stolen from a garage in the 9400 block of Blackwell Rd sometime between 12:15pm Thursday, August 13, and 3:46pm Tuesday. A vehicle was stolen from a driveway on Martins Square Ln between 9pm Monday and 7am Tuesday. A restaurant in the 1400 block of Research Blvd was also broken into at approximately 2:19am Tuesday.
In the 3rd District, which includes Silver Spring and Burtonsville, two vehicles were reported stolen. One was taken from the 14200 block of Letterkenny Ct sometime between 11:45am Wednesday, August 12, and 8pm Tuesday. The other was stolen from the 3900 block of Greencastle Rd between 6pm Monday and 5:30am Tuesday. A motorcycle was stolen from a restaurant parking lot in the 7700 block of Blair Rd at approximately 5:02pm Tuesday. Police also reported that suspects surrounded a man and took his property near Fenton St and Roeder Rd sometime between 7pm and 10pm. At approximately 9:04pm, officers recovered a loaded handgun and arrested one person near Old Columbia Pike and Briggs Chaney Rd.
In the 4th District, which includes Wheaton, Glenmont and portions of Silver Spring, a vehicle was stolen from the 11300 block of Amherst Ave sometime between 6pm Monday and 5pm Tuesday. A window was broken and property was stolen from a vehicle in the 13400 block of Tivoli Lake Blvd between 9pm Monday and 7:50am Tuesday. A catalytic converter was also stolen from a vehicle in the 2000 block of Cascade Rd on Monday.
In the 5th District, which includes Germantown, a vehicle was stolen from the 12800 block of Locbury Cir sometime between 7pm Monday and 12:30pm Tuesday. At approximately 5:57am Tuesday, a suspect broke the front-door glass at a gas station in the 19200 block of Frederick Rd and stole property.
In the 6th District, which includes Gaithersburg and Montgomery Village, property was stolen from an apartment in the 500 block of S. Frederick Ave sometime between 8:30pm and 11:50pm Tuesday. One person was arrested.
