The Montgomery County Police Department shared an overview of reported calls for service from Wednesday, August 26. The summary does not reflect every call received that day.
In the 2nd District, which includes Bethesda, Chevy Chase, Potomac and surrounding areas, two airbags were stolen from vehicles in the 5100 block of Dudley Lane and the 5200 block of Tuckerman Lane. Police also reported a commercial burglary in the 6100 block of MacArthur Boulevard at approximately 2:15am Thursday. A business’s front door was broken with a hard object, and property was taken.
In the 3rd District, which includes Silver Spring, White Oak and Burtonsville, a vehicle was stolen from the 3300 block of Sir Thomas Drive sometime between 8:45pm Tuesday and 4am Wednesday. An airbag was taken from a vehicle in the 8700 block of Plymouth Street, while tires and rims were stolen from two vehicles in the 12200 block of Cherry Hill Road.
In the 5th District, which includes Germantown, Clarksburg and surrounding areas, vehicle windows were broken in the 23000 and 23100 blocks of Turtle Rock Terrace early Wednesday. Police also reported a stabbing in the 19700 block of Crystal Rock Drive at approximately 4:36pm. The victim was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
