The Washington Commanders have announced a series of roster moves to reach the NFL’s initial 53-man roster limit.
Washington released 34 players, while cornerback Trey Amos and running back Jeremy McNichols were placed on the Reserve/Injured List with designations to return. Defensive end Deatrich Wise Jr. was placed on the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform List.

The roster remains subject to change as the Commanders evaluate players released by other teams. Several of Washington’s released players are also expected to return on the practice squad or be brought back to the active roster when OT Laremy Tunsil and DT Johnny Newton are officially placed on injured reserve.
