MCPD shared an overview of reported calls for service from Wednesday, September 2. Police noted that the summary does not reflect every call for service on the referenced date.
In the 3rd District, which includes Silver Spring, Burtonsville and surrounding areas, a vehicle was stolen near Aston Manor Dr and Sheffield Manor Dr sometime between 9pm Sunday, August 30, and 4:30pm Wednesday. At approximately 4:28pm Wednesday, a victim’s bag was forcibly taken in the 11300 block of Lockwood Dr. One person was arrested. In a separate incident, tires and rims were stolen from a vehicle in the 9700 block of Mt. Pisgah Rd sometime between 7:30pm Wednesday and 2am Thursday.
In the 5th District, which includes Germantown, Clarksburg and surrounding areas, a vehicle was stolen in the 9100 block of Gue Rd at approximately 5:49am Wednesday. The vehicle was later recovered.
