Washington Commanders Release Updated Depth Chart Ahead of Week 1 Matchup Against Eagles

The Washington Commanders have released an updated 2026 depth chart ahead of their Week 1 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Quarterback Jayden Daniels is backed up by Marcus Mariota, who is coming off of a knee injury, with rookie Athan Kaliakmanis listed third. At running back, Croskey-Merritt is followed by Rachaad White, who will likely play plenty especially on passing downs, and rookie Kaytron Allen.

Terry McLaurin, Stefon Diggs, and Treylon Burks occupy the first-team wide receiver spots. Dyami Brown is listed behind McLaurin, while Jaylin Lane backs up Diggs. Rookie Antonio Williams and Luke McCaffrey are listed behind Burks. At tight end, Chig Okonkwo and John Bates lead the two spots, followed by Ben Sinnott and Colson Yankoff, respectively.

The starting offensive line features Brandon Coleman at left tackle, Chris Paul at left guard, Nick Allegretti at center, Sam Cosmi at right guard, and Josh Conerly Jr. at right tackle. Veteran backup tackles include D.J. Humphries and Andrew Wylie, while rookie Tanoa Togiai is listed behind both guards and rookie Matt Gulbin backs up Allegretti at center.

On defense, Daron Payne, Tim Settle Jr., and Javon Kinlaw lead the defensive line. Odafe Oweh and K’Lavon Chaisson are listed first at outside linebacker, with Styles and Frankie Luvu occupying the other starting linebacker spots. Leo Chenal is listed behind Styles, while Jordan Magee and Kain Medrano back up Luvu.

Amik Robertson and Mike Sainristil are the starting cornerbacks with Amos on injured reserve to start the season, with Rasul Douglas and Fabian Moreau behind them. Nick Cross is listed first at strong safety ahead of Tyler Owens, while Jeremy Reaves leads the free safety position, followed by Quan Martin and Percy Butler.

On special teams, rookie Drew Stevens is listed as the kicker, with Tress Way handling punting and holding duties and Tyler Ott serving as long snapper. McCaffrey leads the kickoff return group ahead of Lane and Brown. Lane is listed first at punt returner, followed by McCaffrey and Burks.
