Montgomery County Police are investigating the shooting death of Rafael Jeremias Brewster, 32, of Beltsville, who was found in the roadway in the 1700 block of January Drive in White Oak on Thursday, September 10.
According to police, the Emergency Communications Center received a report of a shooting at approximately 2:05pm. Third District officers and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service personnel responded and found Brewster with an apparent gunshot wound. Despite lifesaving efforts, he was pronounced dead.
Major Crimes Division homicide detectives responded to investigate. Brewster was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, where an autopsy determined the manner of death to be homicide. Police said the investigation remains active and ongoing. No suspect information is available, and no one is in custody.
