An adult man was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries following a reported shooting near the Lenox Park Apartments in Silver Spring, according to Montgomery County Police.
MCPD 3rd District officers responded to the area of East West Highway and Colesville Rd. Police said a suspect is in custody and a firearm has been recovered.
According to MCFRS chief spokesperson Pete Piringer, emergency crews responded around 7:30pm to the 1400 block of East West Highway, between Draper Lane and Colesville Rd, for a person with a traumatic injury. MCFRS transported one adult patient, and some lanes were blocked during the response. Additional details were not immediately available.
