MCPD shared an overview of reported calls for service from Friday, October 2 through Sunday, October 4, including robberies, aggravated assaults, weapons offenses, burglaries and multiple vehicle thefts across Montgomery County.
The 1st District, which includes Rockville and parts of Potomac, recorded several incidents. Anti-LGBTQ+ stickers were reportedly repeatedly placed on a victim’s vehicle on Saddleview Ct. A loaded handgun was recovered and one person was arrested near W. Montgomery Ave. and Forest Ave. Police also reported a commercial burglary in the 12100 block of Rockville Pike, shots fired in the 1300 block of Piccard Dr., a robbery at a bus shelter in the 200 block of Rockville Pike and the theft of a motorcycle from the unit block of Upper Rock Cir.
The 2nd District, which includes Bethesda, Chevy Chase and surrounding areas, reported two vehicle thefts. One occurred in the 7700 block of Woodmont Ave., while another vehicle was taken from the 4200 block of Oakridge Ln.
The 3rd District, which includes Silver Spring, White Oak and surrounding areas, reported several incidents. A victim was dragged by a vehicle during an online sale meeting in the 11400 block of Lockwood Dr. and had property taken. Tires and rims were stolen from a vehicle in the 3400 block of Spring Club Pl., and a victim was seriously injured in an aggravated assault in the 12200 block of New Hampshire Ave. Police also reported vehicle thefts in the 800 block of Northampton Dr. and 11700 block of Old Columbia Pike, a commercial burglary in the 12500 block of Prosperity Dr., and a robbery near Colesville Rd. and 2nd Ave. in which a victim was assaulted while sleeping and had property taken.
The 4th District, which includes Wheaton, Glenmont, Aspen Hill and surrounding areas, reported two vehicle thefts, including a motorcycle, as well as two weapons-related incidents. A loaded handgun was recovered and two people were arrested near Veirs Mill Rd. and Connecticut Ave. In a separate incident in the 1900 block of Alberti Dr., police said a suspect pointed a handgun at another driver during a road rage incident and left the area.
The 6th District, which includes Gaithersburg, Montgomery Village and surrounding areas, reported two vehicle thefts. One occurred in the 9300 block of Weathervane Place, and another in the 500 block of Rock Lodge Rd.
