Montgomery County Police shared an overview of reported calls for service from October 5. The summary does not reflect all calls for service on the referenced date.
In the 1st District, which includes Rockville and surrounding areas, police reported an auto theft in the 600 block of Elmcroft Blvd. A vehicle was taken sometime between 6pm Sunday, October 4 and 7pm Monday, October 5. Police also reported an aggravated assault on Lynn Manor Ct. at approximately 1:45am, where a suspect allegedly attempted to force entry into a home and pointed a handgun.
In the 2nd District, which includes Bethesda, Chevy Chase and surrounding areas, an auto theft was reported in the 7100 block of Democracy Blvd. Police said a vehicle was taken sometime between September 22 and October 5. An armed robbery was also reported in the 8200 block of Wisconsin Ave. between approximately 6:50am and 7:30am. Police said a victim was threatened with a knife and had property taken.
In the 3rd District, which includes Silver Spring, Burtonsville and surrounding areas, police reported tires and rims stolen from three vehicles. Incidents included the 13700 block of Avonshire Dr., where thefts occurred sometime between Sunday and 7:52am Monday, and the 14100 block of Castle Blvd., where thefts occurred between 4pm Sunday and 9am Monday.
In the 4th District, which includes Wheaton, Aspen Hill, Olney and surrounding areas, an auto theft was reported in the 14200 block of North Gate Dr. Police said a vehicle was taken between 7:30pm Sunday and 6:10am Monday. Police also reported a weapons offense near Colin Rd. and Mahan Rd. at approximately 12:20am. Several rounds were reportedly fired from a vehicle, and no injuries were reported.
In the 6th District, which includes Gaithersburg, Montgomery Village and surrounding areas, three vehicles were reported stolen, with two later recovered. The incidents occurred in the 400 block of Quince Orchard Rd., the 700 block of Quince Orchard Blvd. and the 400 block of Muddy Branch Rd., with the thefts occurring at various times between Friday, October 2 and Monday morning, October 5.
