Commanders Place Terry McLaurin on Injured Reserve, Make Multiple Roster Moves

The Washington Commanders announced several roster moves Wednesday, including placing wide receiver Terry McLaurin on the Reserve/Injured List.

Washington also signed veteran wide receiver Van Jefferson from the practice squad to the active roster and added outside linebacker Kyle Kennard to the practice squad. Defensive tackle Jer’Zhan Newton has returned to practice, opening his 21-day window to potentially be activated from injured reserve.

Head coach Dan Quinn also provided an update on left tackle Laremy Tunsil, saying Tunsil has a doctor’s appointment scheduled in a few weeks. The team expects to have a better idea at that point about his recovery and whether there is a possibility he could return this season.

Quinn also addressed Washington’s pass rush, saying he is “not pleased” with where the unit currently stands but believes there is still time and opportunity for improvement.
