Fruit N Boba Tea, located at 302 King Farm Blvd., Suite 130, in Rockville’s King Farm Village Center, has permanently closed. A sign posted on the door reads “STORE CLOSED THANK YOU,” and the restaurant’s interior has been cleared out.
The City of Rockville has also posted a court document on the door. The document, filed October 5, 2026, in the District Court of Maryland for Montgomery County, is a landlord’s complaint for repossession of rented property due to failure to pay rent. The filing identifies Fruit N Boba Tea as the tenant and lists $54,424.32 in rent due through October 2026. The document is a complaint filed by the landlord, not a final court judgment.
Fruit N Boba Tea opened in April 2025 in the space next to Montgomery County’s last remaining Baja Fresh. The shop specialized in fruit teas made with fresh fruit, bubble teas featuring imported ingredients from Taiwan, smoothies made with natural sweeteners, and non-dairy frozen yogurt.
The closure comes approximately a year and a half after the business opened. At this time, no replacement tenant has been announced for the space.
