According to District 3 Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) Commander Jason Cokinos, a downtown Silver Spring resident spotted two individuals attempting to steal a car and called 911. Montgomery County Police quickly responded, and after a short foot chase, both suspects were apprehended and taken into custody.
Cokinos tweeted, “Community & Cops vs. Auto Thieves

After a short foot chase both were apprehended and transported to central processing to be booked.
