ZiZa Kabob, which opened its first restaurant at 7351 Assateague Dr. in Jessup, has signed on to open its second location in the Twinbrook Quarter development that will feature the upcoming Wegmans in Rockville. ZiZa is associated with Baltimore’s Maiwand Grill and Kabul Grill.
The restaurant offers homemade Afghan family recipes. Per its website, “After years of enjoying these wonderful dishes as a family, we decided it was time to share them with the city we call home. The key elements of Afghan Cuisine consist of rich, flavorful spices that draw influence from Afghanistan’s unique history and the surrounding countries; next is a high-quality and delicately handled diverse set of meats; and lastly is the flavorful and aromatic rice.” The full menu can be seen here.
ZiZa kabob will be joining Terra Gaucha, an authentic Churrascaria or Brazilian Steakhouse, and Genki Wagyu House and Molly Tea, which have all signed on at Twinbrook Quarter. Terra Gaucha will be located on the corner of Festival St. and Chapman Ave., off of Rockville Pike, while Genki Wagyu House and Molly Tea will be on the corner of Festival Street and Rockville Pike, next to the upcoming Wegmans. Wegmans is expected to open in 2025.
