Update: Olney Winery announced a permanent closure on Friday, December 13th.
Olney Winery, located at 52 Olney Sandy Spring Rd. in Ashton, has closed until further notice according to a social media post shared late last week.
Olney Winery wrote, “Dear customers we regret to inform you that the winery is closed until further notice. We thank you for your patronage. T our wine club customers, we will reach out to you individually for your outstanding wine club pick up.”
Olney Winery has been operating since 2012, initially as The Winery at Olney. The winemaker was located at 18127 Town Center Drive in the Fair Hill shopping center in Olney until September of 2022. In 2016, expanded and opened a tasting room in the stone house at 12810 Shank Farm Way in Hagerstown. In the summer of 2023, Olney Winery opened its new space at 52 Olney Sandy Spring Road in Ashton Market.
