Man Arrested For Threatening Two People With a Machete in Popeyes

Chief Antonio DeVaul from the Takoma Park Police Department has announced the arrest of Lancer Brown, 63, of Bowie, Maryland, for 1st degree assault after threatening two people with a machete in a Popeyes restaurant.

According to police, “On November 20 at approximately 9:54 pm, Takoma Park Police were dispatched to the 6300 block of New Hampshire Avenue (Popeyes) in response to a 1st degree assault.  The suspect, identified as Brown, brandished a machete threatening two individuals in the establishment.  Brown was taken into custody by officers without incident.

Brown was arrested, charged accordingly and transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit. This incident occurred in Ward 3.”
