Police Search for Convicted Sex Trafficker Who Tampered with Ankle Monitor

The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) is seeking public assistance in locating Ernest Gerald Wilkerson, wanted for tampering with his ankle monitor and evading pre-trial conditions after a February 2024 sex trafficking conviction.

Per MCPD: “Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Vice & Intelligence Unit are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Ernest Gerald Wilkerson, who is wanted for failure to comply with pre-trial conditions following a sex trafficking conviction.

On February 22, 2024, Wilkerson was convicted of two counts of sex trafficking and two related prostitution charges. As a condition of his pre-trial release, he was fitted with an ankle monitor. On March 7, 2024, the Pre-Trial Services Unit was alerted that the ankle monitor had been tampered with, and Wilkerson has not been seen since. A bench warrant for his arrest was issued on March 12, 2024.

Detectives are urging anyone with information about Wilkerson’s whereabouts to come forward.
