Rockville Pike Commercial Property Changes Hands for $1.3 Million

In a recent real estate transaction, a commercial property on Rockville Pike has officially changed ownership. The property located at 1470 Rockville Pike, previously a BB&T Bank branch, has been acquired by Potomac-based RPR LLC for $1.3 million.

This property is located just north of Yekta Market and the upcoming Rockville Wegmans and across from the new Umi buffet that recently moved in to the old Miller’s Ale House space that was also the original home of Montgomery County’s only Hooters.

According to Maryland Newsletters, the seller, a partnership associated with Madison Marquette, has successfully transferred the property to RPR, a Potomac-based company, as noted in the deed filed in the Land Records. Details regarding RPR’s plans for the site remain undisclosed at this time, leaving the future of the property open to speculation.

Take 5, which was founded as Rapid Oil Change in Louisiana in the 80s, was previously looking to open its first DC Metro Area location at 1470 Rockville Pike. Maryland Newsletters writes that “the group held a ‘pre-submission meeting,’ but never followed through to file additional plans.”
