Chief Antonio DeVaul of the Takoma Park Police Department has announced the arrest of Ana Acosta, 37, who has no fixed address, on charges of Robbery, 2nd Degree Assault, Destruction of Property, and Theft.
According to a press release distributed by police on March 5th: On March 1 at approximately 12:41 PM, Takoma Park Police responded to the 7400 block of New Hampshire Avenue (Red Carpet Inn) for a reported assault in progress. Upon arrival, officers were approached by multiple witnesses who stated that Acosta had assaulted them, as well as taken and damaged an employee’s phone.
Officers located Acosta in the parking lot and took her into custody without incident. She has been charged and transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit. A mugshot was not provided by police.
