The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) has arrested a 23-year-old Gaithersburg man in connection with an April 21 shooting on Rockville Pike that seriously injured a victim following an altercation and assault in a parking lot. DMV News Live reported that the incident occurred at Dr. Boyd’s Veterinary Resort.
According to MCPD, “Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 2nd District Investigative Section have arrested 23-year-old Davion Gray, of Gaithersburg, for a shooting on Monday, April 21, 2025, in the 11500 block of Rockville Pike. At approximately 9:54 p.m., 2nd District officers responded to the location for the report of a shooting.
The investigation has revealed that a group of people had an argument with an adult male in the parking lot. The group of people physically assaulted the victim, and Gray then shot the victim in the upper and lower body and left the scene. The victim sustained serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital.
During the investigation, detectives identified Gray as the suspect and obtained an arrest warrant, charging him with attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault and use of a firearm in the commission of the felony. Gray has been arrested and transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, where he is being held without bond.”
