On Tuesday, June 17, 2025, shortly after 7:00 p.m., Rockville City Police officers responded to Maryvale Park, located in the 800 block of First Street, for a report of an altercation involving a group of juvenile males. The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) referred to the incident as a stabbing.
According to an update by Rockville Police, “During the verbal dispute, one individual produced an edged weapon and assaulted a 15-year-old juvenile. The victim sustained a non-life-threatening injury and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The investigation remains ongoing. Detectives are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information regarding those involved to please contact the Rockville City Police Department at [email protected] or call 240-314-8900.”
At 7:53pm Tuesday, MCPD shared the following, “1st District officers and Rockville City PD have been dispatched to the 800 block of First Street for the report of a stabbing. The scene is secure. Injuries are unknown. RCPD is the lead agency on this call.”
