Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a near-drowning incident involving a teenager at a residential pool in Olney. The incident occurred around 5:45 pm at the 6900 block of NorthBrook Drive near Ascot Lane.
According to MCFRS Chief spokesperson Pete Piringer, friends of the teenager pulled the unconscious individual from the pool. A nearby adult immediately initiated CPR, which proved crucial in the rescue effort. By the time emergency medical teams arrived, the teenager was breathing.
The teenager was then transported in serious condition under Priority 1 to a medical facility for further treatment.
