Charley’s Cheesesteaks & Wings is preparing to open its doors in the Woodmoor Shopping Center, according to the Regency Centers leasing website. The new restaurant will be located at 10121 Colesville Road, between the beloved Woodmoor Pastry Shop and Bento Express, taking over for the closed UPS Store and adding to the diverse mix of dining options in the popular center that also includes the recently opened Nash & Smashed, Santucci’s Deli, and more.
Known for its signature Philly cheesesteaks made with premium steak, fresh grilled vegetables, and melted cheese on a toasted roll, Charley’s has built a loyal following and has seen a massive expansion in recent years. This new location will offer the full Charley’s experience, including their popular wings and a variety of gourmet fries and lemonades.
Charley’s has a rich history, starting as a small cheesesteak shop near Ohio State University in 1986. It has since grown into a global franchise, but its commitment to made-to-order, quality food remains the same. The addition of a wings menu has become a key part of the brand’s growth, and Silver Spring residents will soon be able to enjoy both fan-favorite items at the same location.
While an official grand opening timeframe or date has not yet been announced, the restaurant may open during the upcoming 2025-2026 school year as a lunch option for Blair High School students across the street.
