Remembering Jeepers!: Rockville’s Indoor Amusement Park of the ’90s and 2000s

From 1996 to 2007, Jeepers! operated at 700 Hungerford Drive in Rockville, offering families an indoor mix of play zones, rides, and dining.
Wristbands, priced at $10.99 on weekends and $5.99 on weekdays in 1996, provided unlimited access to tunnels, slides, ball pits, and attractions such as a small roller coaster and bumper cars.

According to the now-defunct Jeepers! website, the company described itself as “a pioneer and a leader in children’s entertainment.” Founded in 1988 as Jungle Jim’s before rebranding as Jeepers!, the chain operated indoor animated theme parks for children 12 and under. “The Parks provide a broad variety of entertainment activities including amusement park rides, soft play areas and skill games, plus comfortable family dining and birthday parties—all in a climate-controlled indoor setting,” the site explained. Jeepers! emphasized its role as “a wholesome, family destination, giving families a chance to do something together right where they live and shop.”

Today, the site is home to Great Wall Supermarket, but Jeepers! remains a cherished part of Montgomery County nostalgia.
