Another piece of the puzzle has fallen into place for the former Buca Di Beppo space in Gaithersburg’s Kentlands. Just days after it was confirmed that Tatte Bakery & Café would be opening in half of the building, we’ve learned that Mattress Warehouse will occupy the other half.
According to leasing details, each business will take over approximately 3,777 square feet of the former restaurant, located along Kentlands Boulevard. The addition of Mattress Warehouse and Tatte will fully repurpose the space that Buca Di Beppo vacated in June 2024, before the national Italian restaurant chain filed for bankruptcy a little over a month later.
Mattress Warehouse currently operates a store nearby, though a representative at that location told us they were not aware of any upcoming move.
Tatte Bakery & Café, a popular regional chain known for its pastries, breakfast fare, and Mediterranean-inspired menu, will mark its fourth Montgomery County location when it opens in the Kentlands. Opening timeframes are not yet available for both locations.
