According to officials, 6th District officers were dispatched at approximately 6:19pm to the 18700 block of North Frederick Avenue in Gaithersburg for the report of a stabbing.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from serious injuries. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Police say no suspect is in custody at this time. Detectives remain on the scene as the investigation continues into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
