Update: This shooting is now being investigated as a homicide.
The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) responded at 2:07 p.m. to the area of Fenton Street and Richmond Avenue in Silver Spring for the report of a shooting.
According to MCPD, responding officers located an adult male suffering from a suspected gunshot wound. Police say the scene is secure and suspects are in custody at this time.
UPDATE: The adult male victim of the shooting has been transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
