Free Fitness Passes Continue in 2026 for Montgomery County Residents

Montgomery County residents will be able to continue working toward their health and fitness goals at no cost in 2026.

Montgomery County Recreation has announced that its free RecFit passes for county residents will remain available throughout 2026. The passes provide access to fitness rooms, game rooms, and open gym drop in activities at county recreation centers. Aquatic centers are not included with the RecFit pass.

The RecFit pass can be used at any Montgomery County community recreation center once a resident is registered. Residents must sign up in person during regular business hours at any county recreation center. Proof of residency is required, either a valid photo ID with a current address or a photo ID accompanied by a current utility bill. Passholders are also required to have a photo on file, and the pass must be renewed annually.

Non residents are also eligible to purchase RecFit passes at established rates. Montgomery County Recreation promoted the program on Tuesday as residents prepare for the new year, encouraging people to make health and wellness a priority in 2026.

The county has positioned the free RecFit pass as an accessible way for residents to stay active, remove financial barriers to fitness, and support healthier lifestyles across the community as the new year begins.
