MCPD: Germantown Man Arrested With Crack Cocaine, Oxycodone, and Firearm

Montgomery County police have arrested a Germantown man on drug and handgun-related charges following a traffic stop earlier this week.

According to Montgomery County Department of Police, officers with the 6th District Community Action Team conducted a traffic stop around 7pm Monday, March 9, 2026, in the 17500 block of Towncrest Drive.

Police said officers were conducting proactive enforcement in the area of Lost Knife Circle when they observed suspicious activity involving a vehicle and its occupant parked near a business. A short time later, officers observed a traffic violation and initiated a stop.

During the stop, officers searched the vehicle and recovered crack cocaine, oxycodone, additional controlled dangerous substances, and a firearm.

The driver, identified as 29-year-old D’Andre Michael Wiggins of Germantown, was arrested and transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit. He has been charged with drug and handgun-related offenses and is being held without bond. A mugshot was not provided in the MCPD press release.
