Police: Juvenile Chased with Knife Among Incidents in March 19 Crime Summary

Montgomery County Police shared a summary of reported incidents from March 19, 2026, highlighting a mix of property crimes and violent offenses across several areas of the county.

The most serious incident involved an aggravated assault late Thursday night at Lost Knife Road and Contour Road, where four suspects reportedly chased a juvenile male while holding a knife.

Earlier in the evening, a strong-arm robbery was reported in the 7600 block of Tarpley Drive around 5:48pm. Police say a suspect grabbed the victim’s arm and stole her jewelry before fleeing.

Several vehicle-related crimes were also reported throughout the day. Three separate auto thefts occurred in parking lots with no signs of forced entry, including incidents on Oak Leaf Drive, Piney Branch Road, and Castle Boulevard. In another case, all four tires and rims were stolen from a vehicle in the 11600 block of Stewart Lane overnight.

A catalytic converter theft was also reported in the 19500 block of White Ground Road, occurring sometime between March 6 and March 19.

In addition, a commercial burglary was reported just after 3am in the 12200 block of Rockville Pike. Police say the front door glass was completely shattered and the door was left slightly ajar, though it remains unclear if anything was taken.

Officials note that this summary represents only a portion of calls for service handled that day.
