A new tenant is set to take over one of Rockville Pike’s most recognizable retail spaces. Lifestyle Furniture will be moving into the former Marlo Furniture location in the Marlo Building, leasing 100,000SF+ space.
The deal was brokered by Danny Rubin of Washington Urban Group, who represented Lifestyle Furniture in the transaction. The space has long been associated with Marlo Furniture, which operated in the region for more than 70 years before closing all of its stores across the D.C. area, including its longtime Rockville location.
The transition marks a significant change for a property that has been a familiar landmark for generations of drivers along Rockville Pike. While the Marlo name will no longer be part of the landscape, the arrival of Lifestyle Furniture will make sure things aren’t too different.
