Takoma Park Police are investigating an attempted robbery and a separate robbery that occurred minutes apart on Friday, March 20, according to a news release sent by police on Monday night.
Around 11:25am, officers responded to the 7600 block of New Hampshire Avenue for a reported attempted strong-arm robbery at Red Apple Market. Police say the suspect was unsuccessful and fled on foot toward University Boulevard.
Shortly after, the same suspect is believed to have robbed a victim at a Wells Fargo ATM in the area. The investigation is ongoing under case #260012136. Anyone with information is asked to contact Takoma Park Police at 301-270-1100.
