Montgomery County police released a snapshot of reported incidents from April 13, 2026, highlighting several thefts, a burglary, and a weapons-related case across multiple districts.
Auto thefts were reported in both the 1st and 4th districts, which cover areas including Rockville, North Bethesda, and parts of Potomac and Gaithersburg in the 1st District, and Wheaton, Aspen Hill, and Glenmont in the 4th District. In North Bethesda, a vehicle was stolen from a parking garage in the 8000 block of Gramercy Boulevard sometime between 11pm on April 12 and 9am on April 13. In Aspen Hill, another vehicle was taken from a side street near Grand Pre Road and Bel Pre Road between 1pm on April 8 and 9am on April 13.
A commercial burglary occurred in the 9700 block of Traville Gateway Drive, within the 1st District, where a rear door was broken to gain entry into a business between 8pm on April 12 and 10am on April 13. Property was reported stolen from inside.
Police also reported a catalytic converter theft in the 30 block of Prairie Landing Court. The part was removed from a parked vehicle sometime between March 26 at 4:30pm and April 13 at 4pm.
In the 4th District, a commercial burglary and auto theft were reported in the 4000 block of Gannon Road around 12:55pm on April 13. A vehicle was stolen from an apartment building.
A weapons offense involving a juvenile was reported shortly after midnight on April 14 in the 6th District, which includes Gaithersburg and Montgomery Village, in the 8200 block of Mountain Ash Way. Officers recovered a loaded handgun at a residence.
