Qamaria Yemeni Coffee To Open First Maryland Store This Month, Eyeing MoCo Locations as Expansion Continues

Qamaria Yemeni Coffee Co. is nearing the opening of its first Maryland store and planning to continue its rapid expansion with its sights on Montgomery County as part of its next growth phase.

The fast-growing concept, which currently has 37 locations across 10 states, is preparing to open its first Maryland location at 7401 Van Dusen Road in Laurel. While an exact opening date has not been announced, the shop is expected to open in May. A second Maryland location is already in the works at 10000 Town Center Avenue in Columbia, along the perimeter of The Mall in Columbia, with a projected September opening.

Looking ahead, the franchisee is actively targeting Montgomery County, with potential sites currently being pursued in Rockville and Bethesda. An additional location is also being explored in Georgetown, DC.

Qamaria has built a strong following for its traditional Yemeni coffee, teas, and desserts, paired with a late-night, community-focused atmosphere that sets it apart from more conventional coffee shops. The brand’s continued expansion into the region signals growing demand for unique, globally inspired café experiences. The Langert Commercial Group is representing the franchisee in its local expansion efforts.
