A 17-year-old pedestrian suffered minor injuries after being struck by a vehicle Sunday afternoon in Wheaton, according to Montgomery County emergency officials.
Montgomery County Police and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service were dispatched around 1:14pm to the intersection of Georgia Avenue and Leesborough Drive for the reported collision.
Officials said the driver remained at the scene following the crash. The pedestrian was being evaluated by Fire Rescue personnel for minor injuries. No additional information has been released at this time.
