MCPD Daily Crime Summary For June 11 Includes School Threat Investigation, Multiple Vehicle Thefts

Montgomery County Police Department has released its daily crime summary for incidents reported on June 11, 2026. The report includes multiple vehicle thefts, a strong-arm robbery, a commercial burglary, and a school threat investigation involving a BB gun.

In the 1st District, which covers Rockville, North Bethesda and portions of Potomac, suspects broke a lock on a gate at Ourisman Chevrolet in the 15300 block of Frederick Road and stole two vehicles from a storage lot overnight. Another vehicle was reported stolen from a parking garage at the Kanso Twinbrook Apartments in the 12500 block of Ardennes Avenue.

In the 2nd District, which covers Bethesda, Chevy Chase, Kensington and portions of Silver Spring, police investigated a report at Northwood High School in the 11200 block of Old Georgetown Road after a student allegedly made threatening statements about the school and was believed to have a handgun in his backpack. Officers searched the backpack and recovered a BB gun.

In the 3rd District, which covers Silver Spring, Takoma Park, White Oak and Burtonsville, airbags were stolen from vehicles in the 8500 block of Greenwood Avenue, 200 block of Normandy Drive, 9500 block of Flower Avenue and 9500 block of Caroline Avenue. A motorcycle was also stolen from a parking lot in the 3300 block of Hampton Point Drive. Additionally, a dealership owner in the 15700 block of Old Columbia Pike allowed a man to test drive a vehicle, but the driver never returned.

In the 4th District, which covers Wheaton, Aspen Hill and Glenmont, four vehicles were reported stolen from the 1500 block of Gridley Lane, 13400 block of Justice Road, 3900 block of Joliet Street and 1900 block of Carmody Drive. A catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle in the 12800 block of Littleton Street. A motorcycle was stolen from a parking lot at The Warwick Apartments in the 1100 block of University Boulevard West. Police also reported a commercial burglary at MyEyeDr. in the 13500 block of Connecticut Avenue, where suspects smashed the front door and a window before stealing merchandise from display cases.

In the 5th District, which covers Germantown, Clarksburg and Damascus, two suspects assaulted a man in the 12400 block of Middlebrook Road before stealing his personal property and fleeing. The victim was treated for injuries.

In the 6th District, which covers Gaithersburg, Montgomery Village and surrounding areas, a motorcycle was reported stolen from a parking garage in the 300 block of East Diamond Avenue.
