Fawn Rescued After Getting Stuck In Window Well

A young deer got an unexpected helping hand from Montgomery County firefighters on Monday.

According to MCFRS Assistant Chief David Pazos, personnel from Fire Station 30 responded to the 8100 block of Coach Street in Potomac after a resident discovered a fawn trapped in a window well.

Firefighters were able to safely rescue the animal, which quickly took off once freed. “Oh dear!” Pazos joked in a social media post. “The fawn was rescued and ran for deer life into the woods.”

Fortunately, neither the fawn nor any responders were injured during the rescue.
