Montgomery County Police are investigating a hit-and-run collision involving a vehicle and a bicyclist Tuesday night in the White Oak area.
According to police, 3rd District officers were dispatched at approximately 9:47pm to the intersection of New Hampshire Avenue and Columbia Pike for a reported collision involving a vehicle and a bicycle.
Preliminary information indicates the bicyclist was transported to an area hospital with critical injuries. Police have not released the age or gender of the victim.
The driver of the striking vehicle fled the scene before officers arrived. The investigation remains ongoing, and additional information will be released when it becomes available.
