The third and final tenant has officially signed on to complete the redevelopment of the former Party City space in the Kentlands. STRONG Pilates will occupy the remaining storefront, joining VEG ER for Pets and Wonder in the subdivided retail space.
Founded in Australia, STRONG Pilates has rapidly expanded internationally by combining Reformer Pilates with strength and cardio training in a single 45-minute workout. The concept utilizes proprietary equipment, including the Rowformer, which pairs a Pilates reformer with a rowing machine, and the Rideformer, which combines a reformer with a stationary bike. The company describes its workouts as low-impact, high-intensity, full-body training designed for modern fitness enthusiasts.
The Kentlands studio will be the third STRONG Pilates location in Maryland, following openings in Columbia and Gambrills. An opening timeframe for the Gaithersburg location has not yet been announced.
The former Party City, which closed in early 2025, has been divided into three new retail spaces. The largest is being transformed into VEG ER for Pets, Montgomery County’s first location of the 24-hour emergency veterinary provider. The second will be occupied by Wonder, the rapidly expanding food hall concept that brings together meals from multiple restaurant brands under one roof.
