Think you have what it takes to be crowned Bonchon Rockville’s wing eating champion?Bonchon, located at 107 Gibbs Street in Rockville, will host its 2026 Wing Eating Contest on Saturday, July 18, at 4pm in celebration of National Fried Chicken Day.
The competition will feature two categories, with five contestants competing in the spicy wing division and five competing in the soy garlic wing division. Each participant will be challenged to eat eight wings as quickly as possible, with the first person to completely clear their plate declared the winner.
The contest is open to amateur competitors ages 18 and older. Winners in each category will receive a $100 Bonchon gift certificate, a Bonchon t-shirt, and, of course, bragging rights. Anyone interested in competing can sign up here.
Contestants must register in advance and, if selected, arrive 30 minutes before the competition begins. Food and drinks will be available for purchase before and after the event, and friends and family are encouraged to attend and cheer on the competitors.
