The Montgomery County Department of Police has released its daily crime summary, highlighting seven reported incidents from July 29, 2026, including six vehicle thefts and one residential burglary.
The 2nd District, which serves Bethesda and Chevy Chase, reported two thefts. A motorcycle was stolen from the 6400 block of Rock Forest Dr. between Tuesday at 6pm and Wednesday at 6am. A vehicle was also stolen from a parking lot in the 1900 block of Rosemary Hills Dr. between 12:30am and 9:45am Wednesday.
The 3rd District, which serves Silver Spring, reported three incidents. A vehicle was stolen from a parking lot in the 3000 block of Piano Ln. between Tuesday at 5:30pm and Wednesday at 4:30am. Officers also responded to a residential burglary in the 8200 block of Fenton St., where someone entered an apartment and stole property. In addition, property was stolen from parked vehicles in the 500 block of Easley St. at approximately 1:44am Thursday.
The 5th District, which serves Germantown and Clarksburg, reported a vehicle theft from the 13700 block of Lapwing Way between Tuesday at 10:30pm and Wednesday at 6:30am.
The 6th District, which serves Gaithersburg and Montgomery Village, reported two vehicle thefts from parking lots. One occurred in the 9200 block of Weathervane Pl. between 5:30am and 7am Wednesday, while the other took place in the 18200 block of Willow Creek Way between Tuesday at 9pm and Wednesday at 7:40am.
