UPDATE: Approximately 50 firefighters responded to the townhouse fire in the 20100 block of Club Hill Drive in Germantown on Sunday evening, according to MCFRS Chief Spokesperson Pete Piringer.
A neighbor reported seeing smoke coming from the middle-of-the-row townhouse shortly before crews arrived at approximately 5:17pm. Firefighters encountered a kitchen fire that had extended to other areas of the home.
Two dogs were removed from the townhouse, including one large dog that required resuscitation and was successfully revived. No injuries were reported. The fire caused an estimated $100,000 in damage, and the homeowner has been displaced.
