Takoma Park Police are investigating an armed robbery reported early Sunday morning in the 6700 block of Prince George’s Avenue.
Officers responded to the area at approximately 4:03am on August 23. The victim told police that a family member had just dropped him off in front of his residence when two unknown men approached him and announced a robbery.
According to police, one suspect displayed a black handgun in his waistband. The suspects took property from the victim and fled on foot toward Washington, D.C.
The armed suspect was described as a Black male approximately 6 feet tall, wearing a Nike-style ski mask, black hooded sweatshirt and possibly dark-colored sweatpants. The second suspect was described as a Black male wearing a gray track jacket and black pants.
Police broadcast a lookout to surrounding jurisdictions and canvassed the area but were unable to locate the suspects. The victim was not physically injured and declined medical treatment.
