Permanent Signage Installed at Compari Trattoria in Kentlands

Permanent exterior signage is now up at Compari Trattoria, the new Italian restaurant preparing to open at 72 Market St. in Gaithersburg’s Kentlands neighborhood.

The restaurant’s windows remain covered, and details about the concept are still limited. However, the installation of permanent signage confirms that plans for the restaurant are moving forward. An opening timeline has not been announced.

Compari Trattoria is taking over the space most recently occupied by Caspian House of Kabob and has indicated that it will offer “modern Italian dining.” Information about the menu, ownership and interior renovations has not yet been made public.

Caspian House of Kabob operated at the location for many years before permanently closing earlier this year. The restaurant was known for its Persian and Middle Eastern cuisine, including traditional kabobs, rice dishes and stews.
