Montgomery County Police shared an overview of select reported calls for service from Thursday, August 27. The summary does not reflect every call handled by the department that day.
In the 1st District, which includes Rockville and parts of Potomac, property was taken from a vacant building in the 7500 block of Standish Place at approximately 2:35pm. The property was later recovered.
In the 2nd District, which includes Bethesda, Chevy Chase and parts of Potomac, a vehicle was stolen from the 5200 block of Cammack Drive between 4:49am and 5:49am.
In the 3rd District, which includes Silver Spring, two thefts from vehicles were reported. Tires and rims were taken from a vehicle in the 400 block of Silver Spring Avenue between Wednesday and 9:13am Thursday. An airbag was stolen from a vehicle in the 700 block of Chesapeake Avenue between 5pm Wednesday and 9am Thursday.
In the 4th District, which includes Wheaton, Glenmont and Olney, a suspect allegedly attempted to stab a victim in the 2400 block of Reedie Drive at approximately 4:45pm. One person was arrested.
