The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) shared an overview of reported calls for service from September 9, 2026. Incidents included vehicle thefts, an armed robbery, an aggravated assault, and a residential burglary.
In the 1st District, which covers Rockville and surrounding areas, a trailer loaded with two vehicles was stolen from the 15600 block of Frederick Rd. between 7pm Tuesday, September 8, and 7am Wednesday, September 9.
In the 2nd District, which covers Bethesda, Chevy Chase, and surrounding areas, police reported two catalytic converter thefts on Wednesday. One occurred in the 6000 block of Rudyard Dr. between 3pm September 5 and 4:30pm September 6. The other occurred in the 9700 block of Holmh urst Rd. between 8pm September 5 and 9:30am September 6. The overview also included a vehicle stolen from the 7000 block of Hillcrest Pl. between 7pm September 9 and 6am September 10.
In the 3rd District, which covers Silver Spring and surrounding areas, a vehicle was stolen from the 11700 block of Old Columbia Pike between 10pm September 8 and 3pm September 9. A theft of tires and rims from a vehicle in the 7900 block of Georgia Ave. was reported at 7:25am Wednesday.
In the 4th District, which covers Wheaton, Glenmont, Aspen Hill, Olney, and surrounding areas, a vehicle was stolen from the 2000 block of Georgian Woods Pl. between 1:13am and 1:35pm Wednesday. At 1:22pm, a victim was threatened with a knife and had their property taken near Layhill Rd. and Greenery Lane. At 11:30pm, two people were injured in a fight involving a weapon near Ennalls Ave. and Veirs Mill Rd. Both were taken to area hospitals.
In the 5th District, which covers Germantown and surrounding areas, a residential burglary was reported at 10:16am Wednesday in the 13000 block of Country Ridge Dr. Police said a home was broken into.
