The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) shared an overview of reported calls for service for the weekend of September 11–13, 2026. Police noted that the summaries do not reflect all calls for service and that some incidents occurred before the reporting period.
In the 1st District, which covers Rockville, a homicide occurred in the 1000 block of Seven Locks Rd. between 1:52am and 2:02am Sunday. Police said a victim was shot and pronounced dead. A residential burglary reported Friday occurred in the 200 block of N. Washington St. between 2:30am and 3am Tuesday, September 8, when property was taken from an apartment. Property was also taken from a leasing office in the 500 block of Mt. Vernon Pl. between 5:20pm Thursday and 7:39am Friday and was later recovered. Tires, rims, and brake parts were taken from a vehicle in the 15900 block of Frederick Rd. between 11pm Friday and 3am Saturday.
In the 2nd District, which covers Bethesda and Chevy Chase, a suspect cut open a garage door and entered a parking garage in the 7300 block of Wisconsin Ave. between 2:24am and 2:26am Friday. A vehicle was also stolen from the 7500 block of Bybrook Ln. between 9:30pm Friday and 8:45am Saturday.
In the 3rd District, which covers Silver Spring, a victim was shot in the 1400 block of East West Hwy. at 7:33pm Sunday. The victim suffered injuries that were not life-threatening, and one person was arrested. An aggravated assault reported Friday occurred in the 600 block of Deerhead Ct. at 11am Thursday, when a victim was assaulted and seriously injured, then threatened with a knife. A suspect also attempted to break into a home in the 800 block of Forest Glen Rd. at 9:04pm Saturday before leaving the area.
Also in the 3rd District, tires and rims were taken from two vehicles in the 11400 block of Lockwood Dr. and the 11700 block of Old Columbia Pike between Thursday and Friday. An airbag theft from a vehicle in the 4200 block of Red Maple Ct. was reported Friday. Five vehicles were stolen across the district, including from the 14900 block of Saddle Creek Dr. at 3:10am Friday, the 11600 block of Stewart Ln. at 5am Friday, the 9200 block of Colesville Rd. between 9:46pm Friday and 6pm Saturday, the 1000 block of Quebec Ter. between 5am and 5:30am Saturday, and the 8200 block of Georgia Ave. at 11:36am Sunday.
In the 4th District, which covers Wheaton, a vehicle was stolen from the 14100 block of Weeping Willow Dr. between 10pm Thursday and 7am Friday.
In the 5th District, which covers Germantown, an armed robbery occurred in the 13000 block of Town Commons Dr. at 4:30pm Friday. Police said a victim was threatened with a handgun during a meeting for an online sale, and their property was taken.
In the 6th District, which covers Gaithersburg and Montgomery Village, a vehicle theft reported Friday occurred in the 400 block of Quince Orchard Rd. between 3pm and 11:30pm Thursday. Another vehicle was stolen from the 10000 block of Vanderbilt Cl. between 6:30pm Saturday and 10am Sunday. A residential burglary occurred in the 7600 block of Warbler Ln. at 4am Sunday, when a dirt bike was taken from a garage.
