Twinbrook Quarter continues to take shape along Rockville Pike and Halpine Rd in Rockville, with several restaurants and businesses now open and additional tenants preparing to join the development.
The 12-story mixed-use development is located at the southwest corner of Rockville Pike and Halpine Rd and is anchored by an approximately 80,000 SF Wegmans, which opened last summer. Here’s a look at what’s open and what’s coming soon at Twinbrook Quarter:
Terra Gaucha officially opened at 1651 Chapman Ave last December, marking the Brazilian steakhouse’s first Maryland location and its debut in the DC region. The restaurant specializes in traditional Southern Brazilian churrasco and offers a rodízio-style dining experience, with gaucho chefs roasting and carving wood-fired meats tableside. More here.
Signature cuts include picanha and ribeye, which are served continuously throughout the meal. Terra Gaucha also features a Gourmet Hot and Cold Table with salads, cheeses, charcuterie and Brazilian side dishes, along with desserts such as the restaurant’s popular Papaya Cream.
Molly Tea made its DMV debut at 860 Festival St in April, with its opening day drawing a line of customers around the block. The jasmine-focused beverage brand originated in Shenzhen, China and specializes in tea drinks centered around jasmine and other floral flavors. More here.
Genki Wagyu House followed in June, opening its highly anticipated all-you-can-eat Wagyu and hot pot concept at 870 Festival St, next to Wegmans. The restaurant offers a selection of premium broths including Sukiyaki, Shabu Dashi, Tomato, Spicy Miso, Mushroom and Tom Yum, along with a variety of meats and other hot pot offerings. More here.
Bonne Nail Bar opened at 1679 Chapman Ave in June. The nail salon offers manicures, pedicures, custom nail art and luxury spa treatments.
ZiZa Kabob became one of the development’s newest additions when it opened its first Montgomery County location earlier this month at 1675 Chapman Ave. The restaurant features homemade Afghan family recipes, including flame-grilled kabobs, stews and aromatic rice dishes prepared with traditional spices. According to owner Rafiq, ZiZa Kabob is 100% halal and places an emphasis on fresh food, hospitality and creating a family-friendly atmosphere. More here.
Construction is picking up at the upcoming Slurp Noodles, located at the corner of Halpine Rd and Chapman Ave behind Wegmans. An opening date has not yet been announced, but progress at the space suggests the restaurant could open by the end of the year. Information about Slurp Noodles and its menu remains limited. A restaurant with the same name is also opening in the Baltimore area and is owned by Jerry Chan, who opened Lanzhou Pull Noodle at Rio Lakefront in Gaithersburg.
RIVA Boutique has signed on to take over the space between Slurp Noodles and Bonne Nail Bar. Details about the boutique remain limited at this time, and construction has not yet begun.
