Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service crews responded to a single-vehicle crash in Boyds Monday afternoon that left a vehicle overturned and temporarily closed the roadway.
MCFRS spokesperson Pete Piringer reported the collision near W Old Baltimore Rd and Seneca Ayr Dr, saying the crash involved a single vehicle, a structure and a tree before the vehicle flipped over. Piringer said some lanes were blocked as crews responded.
A witness at the scene told The MoCoShow that the crash occurred at approximately 3:18pm and involved an entrapment. According to the witness, the driver was successfully rescued from the overturned vehicle and transported by EMS with what the witness described as a broken arm.
The witness also reported that W Old Baltimore Rd was closed in both directions following the crash.
