Montgomery County Police shared an overview of reported calls for service from Monday, September 28. MCPD notes that the summary does not reflect all calls for service from the referenced date.
In the 1st District, which includes Rockville and surrounding areas, police reported a robbery in the 700 block of Rockville Pike between 11:40am and 11:50am. A victim was assaulted and had property taken.
In the 2nd District, which includes Bethesda, Chevy Chase and surrounding areas, a commercial burglary was reported in the 11100 block of Rockville Pike between 2:20am and 2:40am. Property was taken from a business.
In the 3rd District, which includes Silver Spring and surrounding areas, police reported a weapons offense in the 8800 block of Glenville Rd between 10:40pm and 10:50pm. According to police, a suspect fired several rounds into a home before leaving the area. No injuries were reported.
In the 4th District, which includes Wheaton, Aspen Hill and surrounding areas, a robbery was reported at Homecrest Rd and Longmead Crossing Dr at approximately 5:10pm. A victim was assaulted and had property taken.
In the 5th District, which includes Germantown and surrounding areas, an auto theft was reported at 4:11pm in the 19500 block of Amaranth Dr. A vehicle was taken.
In the 6th District, which includes Gaithersburg, Montgomery Village and surrounding areas, police highlighted three commercial burglaries. A business in the 15700 block of Shady Grove Rd was broken into at approximately 1:20am, though nothing was reported taken. At approximately 4:03am, two storage units in the unit block of W. Diamond Ave were broken into and property was taken. A third burglary was reported at 2:24pm in the 500 block of E. Diamond Ave, where a storage unit was broken into and property was taken.
